This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices of www.financiallifecheck.com (the “Site”).  The content of the Site is provided by Financial Life Check LLC (“Financial Life Check”) and the site is hosted by Squarespace, a well-known American website building and hosting company with more than three million customers.   

In addition to this Privacy Policy, which is for only the Site, Financial Life Check has a written Privacy Policy for information you provide separately (e.g., by email or in person) during a financial planning and coaching services engagement.

Collection and Use of Your Personally Identifiable Information

You will be asked to voluntarily provide personal information on the Site if you want to get in touch with Financial Life Check or to obtain certain information or services, as this is necessary in order to enable communications with you and to respond to your requests.  This may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and other information necessary for this purpose.  Squarespace, Financial Life Check’s hosting provider, will deliver the information in forms you fill out on the Site to Financial Life Check’s email address.

Financial Life Check will only use your personal information to communicate with you in order to deliver services you have requested and to make you aware of information and services available from Financial Life Check. 

Financial Life Check will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties and will not disclose this information to any other party unless required by law.

This website is hosted by Squarespace and Squarespace collects data when you visit the web site in order to run the website, maintain quality of service, protect and improve its platform and services, and provide website analytics to Financial Life Check.  The analytics helps Financial Life Check to understand what information is the most popular and how users use the website.  This data is not used for advertising on the web site.

The information collected automatically for the purposes above can include: your IP address, browser and operating system type, domain name, access times, referring website addresses, and details about your use of the Site. 

Use of Cookies

Squarespace uses cookies to help the Site run effectively and to provide you with the best experience.  Cookies are small pieces of text sent to your browser when you visit the Site.  Some cookies are necessary to your being able to navigate and use key features of the site, while others are focused on how you interact with the Site.  The latter group of cookies are important to analytics that help Financial Life Check to better understand how users are interacting with the Site.

The Site secures your personal information by using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) internet security protocol to create an authenticated and encrypted link to the Site.  Because of this, the web site address starts with “https://” and you will see the locked padlock symbol to the left of the Site’s web address.

Financial Life Check does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly market to children under the age of 13.  If Financial Life Check learns that it has received information from a child who is under the age of 13, it will be deleted in accordance with applicable laws.

Changes to the Site Privacy Policy 

Financial Life Check reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at its sole discretion from time to time.  When the Privacy Policy is revised, it will be posted on this page with an updated effective date at the bottom of the page.  You are encouraged to check this page periodically for changes.  If Financial Life Check has your email address, then you will be notified by email regarding any significant changes made in the way personal information is treated.  Your continued use of the Site after changes to the Privacy Policy are made will constitute your acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy and your agreement to be subject to that Policy.
